Codejoy Programmer
Real Name :
Shane Thomas
Favourite Games :
Rise of Nations (pc) and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (gc)
Biography :

After programming some games, to a huge lack of fanfare, I finally decided to go to college and get edumucated. After getting the piece of paper that said I suffered through 4+ years of hell, I now have a job as a software engineer and on the side I am still a game programming super freak.

I feel a computer science degree should be put to good use programming games that make you have fun as opposed to using the degree for some sort of boring number theory, unless of course I can apply that to the latest game.. hmmm ..brb gotta go test some algo’s real fast…

Fammy Programmer
Real Name :
Jason Famularo
Favourite Games :
Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Animal Crossing, etc.
Biography :

Jason started programming in the 1st grade. It wasn't long before he was making "games" in BASIC. By high school, Jason had made a few small games in BASIC, QBASIC, and Pascal, including the now-lost Fammy's Quest, a simple platform game (with level editor).

In college, Jason applied for a job with EA Sports, but unfortunately didn't get the job. Since then, he's always tinkered with programming (game and otherwise), recently making a few JavaScript games and a PalmOS card game.

Jason got his first PDA (Palm m100) free with Windows XP. Since then, he's owned 4 different models, including the Tapwave Zodiac. The Zodiac represents the ultimate multi-function mobile device, so his desire to make games for it was only natural.

RavenShadow Programmer
Real Name :
David Reeves
Favourite Games :
Street Fighter III: Third Strike, Super Metroid, Silent Hill, Resident Evil
Biography :

I still remember my first program:
10 print 'fuck off!'
20 goto 10
on the Vic 20 (one of the Commodore 64 competitors)
I started programming by typing in game source code outta PC magazine into my Tandy 1000 (you kids probably don't even know what that is) and seeing if it worked. It usually didn't so I had to go line by line through the source code and figure out where I went wrong or where the game source was wrong. Gradually I began to understand what all the code was doing. By high school I was writing my own games.

And the rest is history.

Zaron3D 3D Artist
Real Name :
Rush Montgomery III
Favourite Games :
Galaga, most Zelda games, and almost anything Rare or Blizzard
Biography :

Drawn to the game industry back in the early days of Pong and Pac-man, I have pretty much tailored my entire life to reach making videogames for a living. As a kid, I was totally blown away by the movie Tron, and turned that love into a passion for computer animation.

I attended a local suck tech college, and pretty much taught myself computer imaging and animation, yet they were still kind enough to give me 2 degrees. One in Computer-aided Drafting and one in Computer-aided Imaging & Animation. Once I met up with these bright lads at ViciousBytes, I knew that the next step in this dream would soon arrive…

Fofo Graphic Design
Real Name :
Olivier Bellemans
Favourite Games :
StarCraft (pc), Super Smash Bros Melee (cube), Advance Wars (gba), Monkey Island 3 (pc)
Biography :

I got into Photoshop when I was 15. Up till now I've been doing various graphic related things such as Webdesign,Indy Art, comics, etc..

It took quite a while before I got my hands on the Zodiac, partly because TapWave wasn't shipping internationally and partly because of some issues with first generation units. The wait ultimately became unbearable and I ordered one anyway through a friend in the US.

So here I am, doing graphics work for ViciousBytes, trying to learn some c/c++ programming on the side, hopingto get some good hands-on experience to jump into professional Game Development as a programmer when I get out of college. But for now, let's try to get out of high school.

Mrredsun Concept Art
Real Name :
Dale Mulcahy
Favourite Games :
Chrono Trigger, Halo, Neverwinter Nights, Knights of the Old Republic, Zelda: OoT
Biography :

In the late 1800s, I broke into proto-comics (so called since comics had not been invented at that time) on a title called "Magenta Kid." The idea was later ripped off with the change of one minor detail. Ever since then, I have been fueled with rage and angst, and henceforth decided that never shall I again take an idea from concept to completion. NO! I would abort the nascent idea before it could transition beyond its conceptual phase. And thus I could continue creating and never again experience such excrutiating pain as I did that fateful day in the latter 1800s. Well, until I figured out copyright law.

At any rate, I now draw stuff. And by stuff, I mean boobs. And lots of 'em.

mf2k Pixel Artist / Sound Output
Real Name :
Michael Calvert
Favourite Games :
Chrono Trigger, Final fantasy 3, and Metal Slug
Biography :

Happiness began on the stem of a musical note. I had always pursued in my sleep, this of course causing a unsteady relationship with anyone around me in the night hours. When I say pursue I mean it in the sense of "walking down a dark alley just following a pleasant sound. Not knowing what may lie at the end or the point where this sound originates." I still pursue this sound.
